WORSHIP THIS SABBATH WITH ROBIN RICHES
"Dirty Feet" is the title of Elder Robin Riches' message this week as he leads us in the ordinances of humility. We often get so busy with our lives that we don't realize how dirty our feet can get! I hope you'll come hear a message of cleansing as we worship Jesus Christ this Sabbath. As our custom us please don't forget to stick around for our summer potluck in the park.
COWBOY CAMP MEETING
Next week is Cowboy Camp Meeting up at Cimmaron. The featured speakers are Rick Roy, our conference treasurer, and Pastor Campbell. I know that I will be doing a series on the early pioneers and the wild west. For more information visit www.cowboycampmeeting.com. THERE WILL BE CHURCH AT MONTROSE NEXT SABBATH.
CHURCH CAMPING TRIP
Sign-up sheets are now available in the church for the beginning of an annual church camping trip. A limited number of whitewater rafting spaces are available. Camp sites are $12 per night (for a family); white water rafting is $70 for the Sunday trip. The theme for our camping trip is origins. Dr. Timothy Standish from the Geoscience Research Institute is going to be our speaker.
LIST OF HOTELS FOR CHURCH CAMPOUT
I've now formulated a list of area hotels for those who don't want to "rough it" by camping. The closest hotel on the way up is in the city of Rangely. It is Rangely Inn (970) 675-8461 (estimate $90 a night). There is a wider selection of hotels in Vernal, Utah, about 20 minutes west of Dinosaur National Park.
San Juan Motel (435) 789-9020 ($75-85)
Motel 6 (435) 789-0723 ($74-95)
Super 8 (435) 789-4326 ($110)
Best Western (435) 789-1202 ($120-140)
Holiday Inn Express (435) 789-4654 ($130-150)

BABY SHOWER FOR KELLY & EDDIE REED
We are so excited that Kelly & Eddie are expecting! As a church family we want to do something extra special for them so on August 17, at Pastor & Heidi's house, we are going to have a baby shower for them. I just wanted to let you know so that you can be sure to "save the date."
PASTOR'S BLOG
I had a really special time this past Friday night with our children and parents as we concluded VBS. Each day we have had between 30-35 children participate with many more adults. I just want to thank everyone who made this special event possible. I believe this was an event that spiritually enriched the lives of our kids.
On Sabbath I was at Gunnison. As soon as I got there one of the members came up to me--"do you see how many people are here?" I praise the Lord that the Gunnison Church family is growing and that great things are happening up there. God is good.
Heidi and I flew out to Maine for the Northern New England Camp Meeting. In addition to two seminars and a day long tour of historic sites, I found myself speaking for the Monday evening meeting (the speaker canceled) and doing an early morning training session for their pastors. Some of you know that I spent a number of years growing up in New England so it was really special for me to see Pastor Bill Brace, the pastor who baptized me, in the audience as I was preaching Monday night. His son (who I used to trade baseball cards with) is also a pastor and we had a wonderful reunion time together.
Yesterday we flew back from New England and then drove out to a family reunion. We're taking a rare personal weekend to spend some time with relatives. We will get back home on Monday.
